Bioinspired soft robotic systems for cognitive production

Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II

Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II (UNINA) was established in 1224 and was the first publicly funded University in Europe. Today the University offers courses in essentially every academic field with research facilities that provide support to all of these courses. Nowadays the University is made up of four schools, twenty-six departments, an academic staff of more than 3000 individuals and an administrative staff of more than 4500. Current student enrollment is about 90000 total.

BIOIC project involves the participation of three departments and one center: Department of Industrial Engineering (DII), Department of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology (DIETI), Department of Chemical, Materials and Production Engineering (DICMAPI), Center for Advanced Metrological and Technological Services (CESMA). The research areas covered by the members of the project include: design, robotics, materials and fabrication, measurement and sensors
